What is PEERS®?

 

PEERS: the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills.  PEERS® is a 16-week program developed by Dr. Elizabeth Lauguson at the UCLA PEERS Clinic.

 

Why was PEERS® developed?

 

PEERS was developed to help autistic adolescents make friends and be socially accepted while remaining their authentic self.  PEERS teaches socially helpful strategies that increase the chances of social acceptance.

 

What age is PEERS® for?

 

The age groups for the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills are: preschool age from 4 to 6 years, school age from 8 to 17 years and young adults from 18 to 35 years

 

Who is providing PEERS® near me?

 

PEERS Relational Skills Program Moose Jaw Inc. provides the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills to people from 4 years of age and older, in person, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada
